About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

'Would you swap integrated care for integrative thinking?'

What will the lecture be about?

Integrated care has taken central stage in government agenda in the UK and overseas, which has reinforced the popular belief – even amongst academics and care providers – that it can be a panacea in health and social care. It is often thought of in a binary context – it either exists or it doesn’t – which has made the need for sustaining formal structures around it even more prominent. This inaugural professorial lecture will challenge some of the common conceptions around integrated care and highlight the several benefits that can stem from organising and practising health and social care according to its principles.
